NBN

Geelong & Colac NBN migration & installation services for Australian businesses

What is NBN?

The government-owned National Broadband Network is being rolled out to provide Australians with access to a reliable broadband connection. Once the nbn™ network is available in your area, StevCom’s Colac and Geelong NBN migration and installation team can help you get set up with the broadband, home phone and internet services you want – anywhere in Australia. From ISDN exit strategies through to providing Telstra Business SIP services, our Colac and Geelong team has what you require to take advantage of the NBN and other new communications and data technologies.

How does the NBN affect your business?

If your business is an an NBN-enabled area and you are still running on copper services you will need to migrate your services to NBN before the final cancellation date for your area. Otherwise you risk having your services disconnected as part of the NBN mandatory disconnects.

How Can StevCom help with NBN migrations and installations?

StevCom’s NBN installation and migration team in Colac and Geelong can review your current services and provide you with a solution to work through the NBN migration. We work to review and understand your current environment before designing a solution to migrate you to the NBN. No two businesses are the same and each uses the copper network in different ways. At StevCom our goal is to create the least disruption possible for your business while helping with your transition to the NBN.

Types of NBN

The nbn™ network uses different kinds of technology in different locations. If the nbn™ network is already on at your address, check below to work out what kind of technology connects you. If the nbn™ network hasn’t rolled out in your area yet, call us on 1800 834 273 or check the NBN rollout map to find out what type of technology you can expect at your place.

  • or 18 months after the nbn™ network is in your area, FTTB connections will co-exist with existing services that are yet to complete their switch to the nbn™ network. Once the co-existence period is over, you may notice an increase in speed and stability of your nbn™ network connection.
  • If you’re in an FTTB area and you want multiple providers for your phone and/or internet services, you’ll need to have a separate line installed for each service.
